A hilariously twisted romantic comedy about a fairy tale gone wrong, Oh Su Jung VS Karl (a.k.a. Get Karl! Oh Soo Jung) stars sexy diva Uhm Jung Hwa and the charming Oh Ji Ho (Couple or Trouble). Returning to television after a near three-year break, Uhm plays a role similar to her characters in Tropical Night In December andSeducing Mr. Robinson, a thirty-something old maid who used to be the “it girl” throughout her school days but has since fallen from grace. Oh plays an overweight law student who gets dumped by Uhm but later transforms into a hunky desirable pro-golfer. The drama draws big laughter with its ironic twist of fate: the frog turns into a prince while the princess transforms into a witch who desperately tries to win back her prince. Interestingly, Oh Su Jung VS Karl is based on the true love story of Lee Ju Young, the CEO of the drama’s production company who reunited with her current husband ten years after breaking up with him. Moreover, Go Man Soo (Oh Ji Ho’s character) is the actual name of Lee’s pro-golfer husband who incidentally instructed Oh on his golf swings in preparation for his role.

Su Jung (Uhm Jung Hwa) was the girl every boy wanted to date and every girl wanted to be. But having watched her poor family disintegrate after her mother abandoned her incompetent father, Su Jung naturally became skeptical and demanding when it came to picking her choice of man. She dates Man Soo (Oh Ji Ho), an Ivy League law student, despite the lack of physical attraction (he is overweight and nerdy). But the moment she finds out that he failed his bar exam, poor Man Soo is dropped like yesterday’s newspaper. But eight years later, the tables are turned. Su Jung, now in her thirties, is no longer in demand. Even her ugly schoolmate ended up marrying a lawyer and now barks at her every chance she gets. Just then, a handsome gorgeous man appears before her eyes. But wait – it’s none other than Man Soo!
